Our Software development is based on "AVATARS" ; software agents able to :
perceive changes in the operational context (eg : through RFID, sensors…)understand and evaluate this change,build an appropriate response based on pursued aims and available means, … this in a timely manner,optimize their resource mobilization,adapt : ability to learn over experience when facing the vagaries of the operating environment,…at every level in the treated organization.Wih our "avatars", the Internet of Things becomes, then, a cyberspace in which avatars live and evolve. This enables support for new uses while achieving economy of scale : by combinating existing uses through trade and interaction between avatars. Avatars help to manage physical objects during their life cycle, also their reuse or sharing: mutualization, leasing, sustainable development, etc..
In the further development of the Internet of Things, by methodically gradually increasing intelligence and autonomy of "cyber objects” (physical objects + avatars) we emphasize the ubiquity of artificial intelligence, overlapping with the concepts of pervasive or ubiquitous computing.
Issues or opportunities to be addressed will be : Systemic emergence of new organizations (business, communities), real-time management ; new capacity for self organization of objects of everyday life and interactions between cyberobjects ; management and integration of feedback (experience) at the individual level (object) or group one (businesses, communities) ; emergence of new value systems (economic, citizens ...), convergence of goals...
